Dr. Fenney Kwan joined Virginia Beach Obstetrics and Gynecology in September 2008. A native New Yorker, she went to Stuyvesant High School before she attended MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Kwan has always been interested in women’s health and offers comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. She provides well women exams, contraception, management of abnormal Pap smears, fibroids, ovarian masses and abnormal uterine bleeding. Her areas of interest and expertise include hysteroscopy and laparoscopy for minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Kwan moved to the Virginia Beach area to be with her husband who is a physician at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. They really enjoy having the beach so easily accessible. In their free time, they love to travel to exotic places.
