 |
Beverly Vavricka, MD is excited to be one of the newest additions to Virginia Beach Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is pleased to offer comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for women of all ages. She takes great joy in providing preconception, comprehensive prenatal, delivery and postpartum care as part of the obstetrical service. In addition, Dr. Vavricka has a special interest in contraceptive counseling and management, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, evaluation and management of cervical dysplasia, and evaluation and management of ovarian masses. As a gynecologic surgeon, she is interested in minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Vavricka hails from the Midwest where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physiology from Oklahoma State University. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University Of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City where she then stayed to complete her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Vavricka moved with her husband to Virginia, who is currently serving as a naval surgeon. She and her husband were happy to welcome their first child, a daughter, in September, 2010. They are also proud of their other "kids", two dogs-a Labrador retriever and a teacup poodle. She is excited about moving to beautiful Virginia Beach and looks forward to taking advantage of the beach and water activities available. In her free time, she enjoys reading, taking a stroll with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends. In addition, she is an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on her alma mater, the Oklahoma State Cowboys in football and basketball. |
