COVID-19 Update for Gynecology Patients

VBOG is carefully monitoring how the pandemic of COVID 19 will affect your care. We continue to look to the national governing bodies for the most up to date and scientific recommendations to ensure your safety. In order to ensure the safety of all patients, we will be implementing several new changes.

Currently scheduled visits may change. Rest assured, we are following the recommendations of experts and organizations around the country to limit your exposure to the SARS Co V 2 (the coronavirus). We will be incorporating a new telehealth modality, whenever feasible, to continue your current level of care for gynecologic problems. If the provider feels you need to be seen face-to-face and examined or tests performed, this will be arranged.

All preventative visits (annuals) will be postponed.

All infertility visits and ovulation cycles will be postponed.

All elective surgeries will be postponed until resources allow.

We will refill medications for established patients as needed.

We will establish a plan of care for abnormal lab or diagnostic testing via telehealth.

1. We ask that NO additional family member, friend or partner accompany you inside the office, unless you are a minor or disabled.

2. We ask the patients NOT bring children.

3. Patients may be asked to reschedule care if you are screened to be symptomatic on entry to the office.

Please call ahead of time if exhibiting symptoms of shortness of breath, fever, dry cough, or recent travel to high risk areas or contact with potential COVID 19-positive family members, you may be asked to reschedule your visit or be assigned a telehealth visit.

We do not know how long these changes will be in place. Guidelines are rapidly changing. We are following developments closely.
